Happy Holidays to those who celebrate them! Here's a Holiday commission of Spidey (with inspiration from AH). I'll be throwing up some more I've recently finished soon. Incidentally, I do take on commissions from time to time so if you would like to discuss one, drop me an email (listed on my profile).
If you don't want to talk to me through email but would like some work and live in the Orlando Area, I thought I'd announce that I will be attending Mega Convention in Orlando, March '08. Will be sharing a table with the charismatic Andy Black.
Thanks to all of you who have stopped by to take a peak at my work lately and I really appreciate the kind comments ya'll leave. Hope you have a great holiday season and end of the year!

...and now something completely different....

Have no idea where this came from.

Anyone else ever wonder why I managed to skip the post numbers of 43 and 51 ?

Two discarded sketches for this one panel. Really liked that hand, but didn't work with the finished drawing. Second sketch is a typical underdrawing I'll do.

Frist off, took this warm up sketch (roughly 2" by 3") of an environment and tried to do a quick color pass, gonna have to keep working on my color skills, but I had fun. I'd also like to thank every one of the 5000 plus people who have visited this page. The comments mean a lot. More to come soon!

Decided to ink this for fun because I liked the imagery. Original pencils by Mike Bear (see his page in my link section). As of yet, unfinished inks by me.

Thought I'd do a quick hand drurin

Just a light study.

More breaktime sketches. First all digital sketch I've done in eons.... Other than that, pretty standard headsketch.

In between classes today, I decided to color up this sketch. Hope you enjoy it. It was a long break.

If you loved Nextwave, I hope you will enjoy this.

Another favorite page.

Don't know why, but this was one of my favorite panels in the GI Joe story I did. Bob Pedroza did a great job on the colors in this scene.

Saw this photo of Marky Mark that I thought I would devote 15 minutes too.

Thanks to all of you out there if you went out and picked up the GIJoe Special Missions issue, or even if you browsed through it. I had a lot of fun working on that and a big thanks to Mike O'Sullivan for hooking me up. Thanks also goes out to Bob Pedroza who colored each and every panel I did. Also, a HUGE thanks to Andy Black for his help on each page and for keeping me sane.

I've gotten back down to drawing my current project. I've been playing around with new ways of finishing a page. Here is a prelim sketch I did for one of the panels today.

Again, if you get a chance, check out this comic that I did some pages for. Coming out on Thursday, Sept. 6th, 2007. Here is a preview,

Was inspired as I looked through Rodolphe Guenoden's sketchbook today so I decided to take a crack at a quickly draw non-male. Result:

Thanks for looking.

More warm up inking. This one is Cory Walker's pencils, my inks.

Tuesday, August 28, 2007

Decided to do some inking practice for fun on something other than my own pencils. I found a Ryan Ottley pencilled page and had some fun inking it this morning. I'll probably finish it later. Hope you enjoy it.

Pencils Ottley, Closeup of my inks

Been inking some pages lately. Here is a Heli-mi-copter that I finished up. Using some air-ed out Black Magic ink, and Winsor-Newton series 7 #2 brush for all.

Excuse the haggard lines, its like only 4 inches by 4 inches.

Ha, big thanks to Neil for sending me this picture. Gus Vazquez and Rosario Dawson ran the art auction this summer at Heroes Con in Charlotte. This is a funny picture of Rosario recreating the pose of Silver Surfer that I drew. Unfortunately, as stated earlier, I had to miss the auction. So, it was really cool getting this in an email. Back to work! Neil you rock!

54 (Eeek nudity)

Started this for a drawing jam over at Drawingboard. don't think i'll be finishing it. No Time!

Sad day for the comic community as Mike Wieringo passed away. Was lucky enough to talk to him a couple times and have him draw this for me. Truly a nice guy and he will be missed.

Tried a couple of 10-minute-only sketches. The second one... well lets just say I went over the 10 minutes. Drat, was supposed to be like Rachel Bilson somewhat but not slaving myself to the likeness.

I do these to warm up before sitting to work on a page. More to come

Just got back from my first trip to San Diego. Had a great time talking to a lot of really talented people. Lot of sights, lot of smells (unfortunately) and a lot of fun. I'll be posting more on this in the future but as for now, here is a sketch of one of the funnier things I saw on Saturday night.

And also, the work in progress on this batman sketch I'm doing up! This is what I got done on the plane bouncing all over. I'll post the finished in a little bit. Enjoy.

Stumbled upon a tiny picture of a drawing I did for the Heroes Con Art Auction in June. Don't know how much it went for, but I was happy enough with it for finishing on a hotel table.

Thursday, July 19, 2007

I should probably sit down and do a drawing that I spend more time on. Here was a super quick Apocalypse sketch with quicker color pass.

In other news, I love Sketchup!

Tiny Immortal Sketcher... Gimme a break. I've been sick.

Monday, July 16, 2007

Been a while. I'm going to get better at this updating.
3"x3" Batman!

Monday, June 25, 2007

Wondering why I haven't been updating? It's not that I haven't been drawing. What HAVE I been drawing? Well, let me tease you with this cover drawn by Kalman Andrasofszky. Hmm.

Maybe you might want to pick it up in September. Hint. Hint.
